THANKS to a grant from the Lee County Arts Council, we've been able to offer educational activities focusing on the arts. Our participants have attended musicals and drama, toured the famous Seagrove potteries and painted their own pottery.

THANKS to another grant from the St. Luke United Methodist Foundation, we've provided other special educational activities to youth, their families and adult volunteers.

Welcome to THANKS Mentoring
We're a one-on-one mentoring program matching adult volunteers with Lee County youth who are at-risk or court involved. The goal is to provide meaningful relationships for children who not only want, but need a positive role model.
In the process, these relationships help decrease the number of youth becoming involved in the Juvenile Court System, enhance the chance of youth receiving their high school diplomas and help youth tap into resources that will strengthen their families.
Make a Difference in Someone's Life
You can be the guiding influence in someone's life. Begin by submitting an application. We'll provide training and match you with someone referred to us for assistance.
Adult volunteers are expected to spend at least two hours a week with the youth for one year, and we offer service projects and about a dozen special group activities each year.
Past projects have included working with the local soup kitchen, stocking the emergency food pantry and helping build houses with Habitat for Humanity.
