United Way of Lee County's newest program, Buzz United, launched in January 2026. It's an exciting partnership with the Buzzline, Sanford/Lee County's new on-demand micro transit program.
Although the Buzzline fare is very affordable, it's still out of reach for many in our community. United Way is partnering with community organizations to provide vouchers that eligible clients of these agencies may receive to ride the Buzzline to work, school, medical appointments, grocery shopping, and more. Having safe, reliable transportation to access these basic necessities can make all the difference for individuals and families working hard to escape poverty.
