The Grayson Morrison Fund for Children

About the Fund

Grayson MorrisonGrayson Luke Morrison was truly a gift from God given to his family on December 19, 2012. Born with severe microcephaly, his prognosis was not good, and the doctors didn't expect him to survive. What they didn't know was the fight he had within him. He proved them all wrong and lived to over eight and a half years of age. His condition was so severe that he never obtained any motor, communication, or cognitive skills, and he also suffered from extreme scoliosis and devastating seizures. But he was surrounded by love, and he gave great joy to his entire family, including his two brothers who absolutely adored him. His parents were completely devoted to making Grayson's life as comfortable and love-filled as humanly possible, and his whole family is so very thankful for the time that God allowed them to have with Grayson. It is their hope that through this fund, Grayson's legacy will live on, and he will be able to help other children with their needs through difficult journeys.

Contributions made to United Way of Lee County through the Grayson Morrison Fund for Children will be used to support programs and initiatives serving children in Lee and Harnett Counties of North Carolina. We know that children need a strong start and support along the way if they are to be successful in school and graduate on time, prepared for good jobs that allow them to be self-sufficient. Your gift to the Grayson Morrison Fund for Children helps make this possible. Thank you for honoring Grayson's legacy by providing joy, hope, and help to children in our community.
